The anti-tank missile specialist is tasked with overseeing the tactical utilization of the M220E4 TOW2 Weapon System, the M98A1 Javelin Weapons System, as well as conducting anti-armor operations and managing tactical vehicle operations. Their primary role is to deliver medium and heavy anti-armor firepower to support the infantry battalion, LAR battalion, tank battalion, and the MAGTF.

Their responsibilities encompass:

1. Conducting operator maintenance for the M98A1 Javelin.
2. Operating the Command Launch Unit (CLU).
3. Preparing the M98A1 Javelin for firing.
4. Engaging targets using the M98A1 Javelin weapon system.
5. Executing immediate actions in response to M98A1 Javelin malfunctions and warnings.
6. Achieving qualification on the M98A1 Javelin basic skills trainer.
7. Establishing a fighting position for the M98A1 Javelin weapon system.
8. Performing remedial actions to address M98A1 Javelin malfunctions and warnings.
