Summary
Executing any flight is very meticulous, and it’s our Mobility Force Aviators who keep everything in perfect working order. They make sure aircraft are properly loaded, inspected and equipped for missions. They also command aircrew through every step of the process—from briefing to landing.
What You’ll Do
- Review tasks, intelligence and weather information to prepare for missions.
- Make sure aircraft is preflighted and manned for every mission.
- Monitor and operate aircraft and engine systems controls.
- Conduct and supervise mission-specific training.
- Perform in-flight refueling duties.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of: electrical, arithmetic, mechanical, navigation, communications, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must maintain physical qualification for aircrew duty
- Height must be no less than 57.5 inches or more than 80 inches
- Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Completion of the Aircrew Fundamentals Course
- Must be between the ages of 18 and have not reached your 42nd birthday

Training Stages
- Basic Military Training: 7.5 weeks
- Military Training Location: Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX
Minimum Education
You must be 17–42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score. *High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year. Applicants who are non-graduates or non-alternate credential holders must obtain an AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB.
