Technical Training Details

Entry Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

- Analysis and Production: Analyzes intelligence information for dissemination within the Air Force, Intelligence Community, and allied partners. Identifies and reports on adversarial intentions and activities.
- Tool Utilization: Employs knowledge of global communication technologies and methods to locate and develop targets. Uses language processing/analysis tools to synthesize data from multiple sources.
Specialty Qualifications
- Knowledge: Understanding of foreign languages designated by the Air Force, global communication network technologies, collection and processing equipment, and intelligence data processing and distribution procedures. Familiarity with adversary tactics and the organization of the national intelligence structure is essential.
- Education: Prior foreign language education, training, or experience is desirable.
- Training: Completion of a designated Cryptologic Language Analyst Initial Skills Course at Goodfellow AFB, with documented language proficiency, is mandatory.
- Experience: Progression through the AFSC requires experience in cryptologic language analysis, with higher levels involving supervisory and leadership roles in directing cryptologic activities.
