1N8X1 is the Air Force Specialty Code for a Targeting Analyst. Targeting Analysts are responsible for: Developing and implementing tactical strike solutions for potential threats Analyzing terrains and structures to make precise strike recommendations and battle damage assessments for commanding officers Specializing in almost everything that deals with the air-to-ground munitions USAF air assets utilize Managing, supervising, and performing targeting intelligence activities and functions including analyzing targets Targeting Analysts support the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing (ISRW).
