Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and organizes traffic management activities.
  • Maintains and issues transportation documents and budget estimates.
  • Advises on transportation solutions and coordinates with various stakeholders.
  • Handles personal property movements, cargo shipments, and passenger travel arrangements.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and standards for shipping, including hazardous materials.
  • Participates in Installation Deployment Readiness Cell (IDRC) activities and deployment processes.

Specialty Qualifications:

  • Knowledge Required: Federal, international, and military transportation regulations; passenger and personal property entitlements; quality assurance procedures; customs regulations; warehousing procedures; packaging methods; hazardous cargo requirements; and carrier capabilities for various modes of transport.
  • Education: High school completion required, with a general knowledge of computer systems and word processing courses being desirable.
  • Training: Completion of the basic traffic management course and additional specialized training as necessary.
