The 2S0X1 AFSC plays a crucial role in directing materiel management activities, encompassing the development, operation, implementation, and analysis of manual and automated logistics systems. This position manages various aspects of materiel management such as item and monetary accounting, inventory control, financial planning, and warehousing functions. The role also involves monitoring and operating Integrated Logistics Systems-Supply (ILS-S) and associated logistics systems interfaces, providing materiel management expertise in combat support or enabler organizations.

Training and Education:

  • Tech School: 33 Days at Lackland AFB.
  • CCAF Degree: Logistics.

Entry Requirements for 2S0X1:

  • ASVAB Scores: Administrative: 41 or General: 44.
  • Physical Strength: 60 lbs.
  • Other: Retraining into the 2S0XX career field within the Air Force Reserves is restricted to grades E-6 and below with less than 10 years of Total Federal Military Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages materiel management activities and systems involved in requirements determination, inventory control, storage, and issues of supplies and equipment.
  • Computes requirements, determines allowances, researches, and identifies materiel requirements.
  • Performs operations involved in storage, inspection, and identification of property, ensuring timely correction of discrepancies.
  • Develops methods and improves procedures for storing property, managing the issue of classified, sensitive, pilferable, and controlled items.
  • Coordinates with maintenance activities on repairable component actions and accounts for items in mobility readiness spares packages.

Specialty Qualifications:

  • Knowledge Required: Basic mathematics, materiel management policies and procedures, accountability and responsibility, principles of property accounting, storage methods, warehouse control, materiel handling techniques, and logistics principles.
  • Education: Completion of high school with a course in mathematics is desirable.
  • Training: Completion of a basic materiel management course is mandatory for award of AFSC 2S031.
