3F2X1 – EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Education and Training personnel conduct education and training (E&T) tasks for maintenance, operations, and support training; education services; curriculum development; and instructor activities. They develop, deliver, and evaluate E&T programs, applying instructional system development (ISD) processes and conducting occupational analysis surveys. Additionally, they administer E&T programs, serve as E&T program managers, oversee E&T activities, and organize programs to achieve educational goals and mission requirements.

Requirements:

  • ASVAB: Administrative - 62.

  • Prior qualification in any AFSC at the 5-skill level or higher (or 3-skill level if no 5-skill level exists).
  • Minimum grade E-4.
  • Ability to speak distinctly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate E&T programs, analyzing job performance data, identifying E&T requirements, developing objectives, selecting instructional design, method, and media, and creating materials to support objectives.
  • Administer E&T programs, serving as program managers, advising on ISD process and career field E&T plans, conducting work center visits, identifying E&T providers and resources, and preparing and maintaining records.
  • Oversee E&T activities, organizing programs, preparing directives, implementing policies, coordinating changes, developing and managing reporting procedures, maintaining E&T data, and providing statistical reports.

Specialty Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of principles, policies, and procedures of Air Force E&T programs, interviewing and counseling techniques, training techniques and instruction methods, task analysis procedures, learning process, curriculum development, training evaluations, instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, training program management, scheduling training events and facilities, work center and individual job qualification standard development, education institution registration requirements, military personnel classification system and policies, application of communicative interpersonal skills, and distance learning concepts.
  • Education: Completion of high school or higher education level is mandatory. Academic courses in English grammar and composition, speech, psychology, guidance, and sociology are desirable.
  • Training: Completion of the basic E&T course is mandatory.
  • Experience: Progression through different levels of experience involving qualification in previous AFSC and experience conducting, developing, supervising, or managing education or training programs.
