3N0X1 was the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) for Public Affairs. However, it hasn’t existed for years. Public Affairs was merged into photojournalist, which is now merged with broadcast journalist. The new AFSC for public affairs specialist is 3N0X6. Public Affairs shapes the Air Force’s public image by: Building relationships with the community Managing relationships with media organizations Public Affairs provides training opportunities for people at all levels. However, the duties and responsibilities are demanding and high-level. Nearly 40 percent of 3N0X1 manpower authorizations are at the TSgt/MSgt 7-skill level.
