4T0X2 Histopathology

4T0X2 is an Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) for Histopathology. Histopathology technicians perform the following duties: Prepare surgical, cytological, and autopsy specimens Receive and prepare specimens for fixation and dehydration Serve as a technical assistant at autopsies Supervise histopathology activities Provide accurate and timely diagnostic information Histology is used in medical diagnosis, scientific study, autopsy, and forensic investigation. It allows for the visualization of tissue structure and characteristic changes the tissue may have undergone. The CFETP provides histopathology personnel with a clear career path to success and rigor in all aspects of career field training.
