5I is an Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) that stands for Intel. AFSCs are used throughout an Airman’s enlistment, from the day they choose a career field with their recruiter. Operations intelligence experts receive, analyze, report, and disseminate information. They ensure that Airmen have the intelligence they need to stay safe and complete their missions.
