7S0X1 Special Investigations
7S0X1 is a military occupation code (MOS) for Special Investigations in the Air Force. Special Investigation Officers (SIOs) conduct investigations into: Criminal activity, Economic crime, Counterintelligence, Force protection, Personnel suitability, Computer crime, Technical services. SIOs also provide testimony in legal proceedings and brief command officials. To join the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), you must meet the following requirements: Be a U.S. citizen Have a GPA of 2.95 or higher Have a valid driver’s license Pass all medical and physical requirements Be able to obtain a security clearance Pass a rigorous background investigation New entry-level civilians must also have a bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.95 or higher, or qualifying specialized experience. The Air Force Special Investigations Academy offers 19 weeks of training.
