8T000 Professional Military Education Instructor
8T000 is an Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) for a Professional Military Education (PME) Instructor. PME instructors develop and conduct PME programs for airmen, noncommissioned officers (NCOs), and senior NCOs. They also provide management consultant services and are responsible for all aspects of school operations. PME instructors implement Air Force, Barnes Center, and MAJCOM EPME policies, programs, and procedures. They also: Develop and conduct PME programs for airmen, NCOs, and senior NCOs Provide management consultant services Are responsible for all aspects of school operations To become an 8T000 instructor, Airmen must: Submit a developmental special duty application package Shadow an experienced MTI for about two weeks Attend the formal course, which is 35 academic days The Enlisted PME Instructor Course (EPMEIC) includes: Accountability, Change management, Communication, Critical thinking, Decision making, Initiative, Integrity, Organizational leadership, Precision, Resilience.
