9F-S Reporting identifiers

Reporting identifiers (RI) in the Air Force identify authorizations and individual enlisted airmen who are not identifiable in the classification structure. They also identify airmen for whom specialty descriptions are not written. Some reporting identifiers include: 9T000, Basic Enlisted Airman 9T100, Officer Trainee 9A000, Awaiting Retraining-Reasons beyond Control 9A100, Awaiting Retraining-Reasons within Control 9A200, Awaiting Discharge/Separation/Retirement The fourth number in an Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) indicates a person’s skill level. For example, someone with the AFSC “1A051” has a five skill level.
