13 Field Artillery
MOS 13 is the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) for Field Artillery in the Army. Field artillery soldiers provide firepower during combat operations.
MOS 13 includes the following jobs: Cannon Crewmember (MOS 13B) Artillery Data Systems Specialist Fire Support Specialist (MOS 13F) Launch Rocket System Ops Firefinder Radar Operator Field Artillery Surveyor Field Artillery Senior Sergeant
To become a Cannon Crewmember (MOS 13B), you must complete nine weeks of Basic Training and 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The training includes learning how to calculate targets manually and with instruments.
To become a Fire Control Specialist (MOS 13J), you must complete a Field Artillery (FA) score of at least 93. You must also complete subtests in arithmetic reasoning, coding speed, mechanical comprehension, and mathematics knowledge.
