14E PATRIOT Fire Control Enhanced Operator/Maintainer

The Army MOS 14E is a Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator/Maintainer. They are responsible for operating and maintaining the Patriot missile system. They are part of an air defense artillery team and work together to eliminate threats from tactical ballistic missiles and aircraft.

The Patriot is a highly technical piece of equipment that requires more than one person to operate and maintain. The 14E MOS works within a team and can be assigned to any one of the five stations. Their duties include: Initializing and operating the Patriot’s information and coordination center Operating the engagement control station Operating the radar set Operating the antenna mast group

When the tactical control officer gives the authorization to fire, a 14E soldier launches the missile. They launch advanced-technology ammunition capable of neutralizing multiple air targets.
