14H Air Defense (AD) Enhanced Early Warning System Operator

The Army MOS 14H is an Air Defense Enhanced Early Warning System Operator. This entry-level position requires soldiers to be alert, quick thinking, and attentive. They use advanced equipment to communicate data about possible incoming threats.

The primary job is to supervise the operation and maintenance of Patriot air defense systems. They work in joint functions to neutralize enemy air targets.

The 14H MOS is a new military occupational specialty that was split off the 14J MOS.

The 14H MOS requires soldiers to: Be effective communicators Have an interest in rocket operations Have critical thinking and mathematical skills Be physically and mentally fit Have basic computer skills

After completing 10 weeks of Army basic combat training, soldiers are assigned to the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery school at Fort Sill, Oklahoma for 11 weeks of advanced individual training.
