14S AVENGER Crewmember (USAR/NG only)

The Army MOS 14S is an Air and Missile Defense Crewmember. They operate and fire the Avenger weapon system, which is a lightweight, highly mobile, surface-to-air missile/gun weapon system.

They also perform the following duties: Establish and maintain radio communications Evaluate potential targets and target engagement Use infrared to detect and engage targets Resupply ammunition for firing Operate friend or foe identification equipment Perform emergency procedures for weapon systems

The MOS 14S is a member of the Army’s air defense artillery team. They may also serve as a Platoon Sergeant for a Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) Platoon.
