153B UH-1 Pilot (RC)
The Army MOS 153B is a UH-1 Pilot (RC) Warrant Officer. The UH-1 is a military helicopter also known as the “Huey”.
The 153B MOS performs duties including: Aircraft armament maintenance officer on MH-60 aircraft Instructor Pilot (IP) Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) MTP or tactical operations officer in Special Operations Aviation
To become a U.S. Army pilot, you need to complete extensive training. This includes: Warrant Officer Candidate School for six weeks Warrant Officer Pilot School and flight training, which lasts anywhere from 12 to 18 months
Requirements to become a warrant officer aviator include: Being a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Being 18 to 34 years old Being accepted to college, in college, or a graduate of a four-year degree program Being eligible for a Secret Security Clearance Being medically and physically fit Being in good moral standing
