155A Fixed Wing Aviator (Aircraft Nonspecific)
Army MOS 155A is a Fixed Wing Aviator Warrant Officer. In this role, you plan flights and consider factors like weight, fuel, route, and altitude to safely complete missions. You also supervise loading and unloading of aircraft to ensure stability and balance.
As a Fixed Wing Aviator Warrant Officer, you pilot and command fixed-wing utility aircraft in tactical and non-tactical conditions. You operate aircraft during the day and night, and transport passengers and cargo. You also perform instrument flight procedures, navigation, and airborne weather radar interpretation.
Most warrant officers in the U.S. Army are helicopter pilots. Warrant officers are between enlisted and regular officers. They have their own pay grades and do not receive their rank by commission.
