The Army MOS 14A is an Air Defense Artillery Officer. These officers lead the Air Defense Artillery branch, which protects U.S. forces from aerial attack, missile attack, and enemy surveillance. They are experts in the tactics, techniques, and procedures for the employment of air defense systems.
The duties of an Air Defense Artillery Officer include: Commanding or assisting the commander of Air Defense Artillery units Planning, coordinating, and directing the employment of gun systems and/or surface to air missile systems Serving as an Air Defense Artillery staff officer at Brigade Combat Teams (BCT), Army, Corps, and Division
To become an Air Defense Artillery Officer, you must meet the following requirements: Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Be between 18 and 34 years old Be accepted to college, in college, or a graduate of a four-year degree program Be eligible for a Secret Security Clearance Be medically and physically fit Be in good moral standing
