15F Aircraft Electrician

The Army MOS 15F is an Aircraft Electrician. Aircraft electricians are responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems on airplanes and helicopters. They also provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and avionics systems.

Aircraft electricians are assigned to Bravo Company, Aviation Battalion, Combat Aviation Brigade. They are responsible for the training, health, and welfare of 21 soldiers. The training for an Aircraft Electrician includes: 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training On-the-job instruction

Some of the skills learned include: Electrical theory, System maintenance.
