15N Avionic Mechanic
The Army MOS 15N is an entry-level position for an Avionic Mechanic. They perform maintenance on critical communication and flight control equipment. This work enables pilots to communicate, navigate, and control the aircraft properly.
MOS 15N Avionic Mechanics perform maintenance on: Tactical communications security (COMSEC) Communication Navigation Identification friend or foe (IFF) Flight control equipment Aircraft flight controls Stabilization systems
MOS 15N Avionic Mechanics also perform operational and preventive checks and alignments. They use interactive electronic technical manuals to help identify radio malfunctions and recommend repairs.
To pursue MOS 15N, soldiers must: Be U.S. citizens Have normal color vision Not have a history of drug or alcohol abuse Not have any documented instances of drug dealing
