170B Electronic Warfare Technician

The 170B MOS is for Electronic Warfare Technicians in the Army National Guard. These technicians analyze, plan, organize, execute, monitor, integrate, and assess Electronic Warfare (EW) operations. They also strategize and lead their teams in the EW theater.

To become a 170B, you need: An MOS of 17E Other EW-related training or experience Experience comparable to ASI 1J or 1K

The base salary for full-time Warrant Officers (WO1) is between $40,000 and $56,000, depending on your Army experience.

There are approximately 28,000 Warrant Officers in the U.S. Army. Only 3% to 4% of those have achieved the advanced rank of CW5.
