19A Armor Officer
The Army MOS 19A is an Armor Officer. Armor Officers lead and work with tank and cavalry units during land combat. They are responsible for training their units for combat and leading them during operations on the battlefield. Armor Officers also lead scouts on reconnaissance missions.
Armor Officers receive technical and tactical training at the Armor School and Maneuver Center of Excellence. They provide mission support to the Cavalry Brigade, the Armor School, and the Maneuver Center of Excellence. They also develop soldiers on individual, MOS-specific, and collective skills.
The MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) or AOC (Area of Concentration) of a soldier can change over time as they gain new competencies and are promoted.
