25B Information Technology Specialist

The Army’s Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 25B is Information Technology Specialist. These soldiers are responsible for maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting Army computer systems and operations. They also install, operate, and perform limited field level maintenance on computer systems, IT networks, and cable and wire communication systems.

MOS 25B soldiers deal with highly sensitive information and need to have technical skills and aptitude for programming and computer languages. They must have an ASVAB score of 95 on skilled technical and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

After basic training, IT specialists have 20 weeks of advanced training at the Army Signal School at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
