26 Data Network Engineering
FA 26, or Information Network Engineering, is a functional area in the United States Army. FA 26 officers lead teams of technical experts to design and build secure information network systems. They also manage the development, operation, and maintenance of the Army’s portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).
FA 26 officers include: 26A Network Systems Engineer 26B Information Systems Engineer 26Z Senior Information Network Engineer
26A officers enable the end-to-end transport of information through telecommunications networks. 26B officers implement and run information system services, manage servers, and install networks.
FA 26 officers provide innovative communications solutions for Mission Command Network. They also support military operations.
