27A Judge Advocate, General
The Army MOS 27A is a Judge Advocate General’s Corps Attorney. They provide legal advice and services to soldiers on active duty and in the Army Reserve.
They also: Manage and assign branch officers Supervise training of personnel in legal functions Prepare and process legal documents for courts-martial, non-judicial punishment, and other military justice matters Prosecute criminal cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Represent soldiers at court trials
The mission of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) is to provide proactive legal support on all issues affecting the Army and the Joint Force.
