30A Information Operations Officer
The Army MOS 30A is the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) for Information Operations (IO) Officers. Officers who successfully complete IOQC receive their Functional Area-30 (FA30) IO designator and can submit to be awarded a 30A secondary MOS. All 30A officers must be 30B, 30C, or 30D before being 30A.
The IO community faces an identity crisis. The 14 information related capabilities include: Strategic communication, Public affairs, Civil-military operations, Cyberspace operations, Information assurance, Space operations, Military information support operations, Intelligence, Military deception, Operations security, Special technical.
To become a Cyber Electromagnetic Warfare Officer, you must meet the following requirements: Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Be 18 to 34 years old Be accepted to college, in college, or a graduate of a four-year degree program Be eligible for a Secret Security Clearance Be medically and physically fit Be in good moral standing
