46T Visual Information Equipment Operator-Maintainer
The 46T military occupational specialty (MOS) is Visual Information Equipment Operator-Maintainer. 46Ts install, operate, and maintain audio and video equipment for the Army, including video teleconferencing equipment. They also maintain records, forms, and test equipment. 46Ts keep forces informed on base, on the battlefield, and anywhere in the world.
46T is one of five MOSs in CMF 46: 46S: Public Affairs Mass Communications Specialist 46V: Visual Information Specialist 46Y: Visual Information Operations Chief 46Z: Chief Public Affairs NCO
46T is a growing and popular MOS. Training includes troubleshooting, making repairs, and replacing components. Requirements include: Associate degree in television equipment repair Two years of experience or training in video/audio systems installation and repair
