46Y Visual Information Operations Chief

46Y is the MOS for a Visual Information Operations Chief in the Army. A Visual Information Operations Chief plans, programs, and supervises personnel who provide visual information support for the Army. They also manage the production and documentation of multimedia materials, and the power generators for VI systems.

As of October 1, 2018, MOS 46Q and 46R were re-designated as MOS 46S, Public Affairs Mass Communications Specialist. Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialists release official information about Army personnel, activities, and operations through news releases, media engagements, press conferences, and social media. They also support civilian media by coordinating interviews and overseeing media releases.
