60W Psychiatrist

The Army MOS 60W is a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists examine, diagnose, and treat or prescribe treatment for personnel with emotional or mental illness, mental retardation, or situational maladjustment. They also support the mental health and resilience of patients.

The Army’s Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is a system for categorizing career fields. Soldiers are classified by MOS or Area of Concentration (AOC). MOS/AOC can change as soldiers gain new skills and are promoted.

The 60W MOS is for both active and reserve officers. There are no restrictions.
