670A Health Services Maintenance Technician

The Army MOS 670A is a Health Services Maintenance Technician. This is the only single-tracked specialty, trained maintenance warrant officer in the AMEDD. They are responsible for the maintenance management of both operational and institutional medical activities.

The 670A performs the following duties: Manages the maintenance elements of life cycle systems Develops programs to enhance training of other warrant officers and enlisted MOSs Provides maintenance policy and guidance through the Surgeon General to all major commands and theater of operations Trains and leads all staff on the proper use, care, and maintenance of all medical systems and equipment Provides Commanders with expert guidance and techniques concerning the issues of medical equipment life-cycles

The 670A is a subject-matter expert who provides guidance and technical knowledge to commanders and staff on all issues concerning medical equipment.
