68J Medical Logistics Specialist

The Army’s Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 68J is a Medical Logistics Specialist. These specialists are responsible for the Army’s medical supplies. They receive, store, and issue medical supplies for their units. They also handle medical equipment and supply shipments, making sure they’re deployed to forward areas in a timely fashion.

MOS 68J specialists are best suited for those who have an interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, and accounting. They need to be able to keep accurate records.

MOS 68J specialists are found in any medical unit or fixed hospital. They serve as a Medical Logistician, Forward Support Team in the Army’s only Medical Logistics Management Center. They provide centralized management functions for critical medical items.

MOS 68J specialists also perform or supervise: Requisitioning, Inventory management, Storage, Preservation, Issue, Salvage, Destruction, Stock control, Quality control, Property management, Repair parts management, Inspection, Packing and shipping, Care, Segregation, Accounting.
