68P Radiology Specialist
Army MOS 68P is a military occupational specialty for radiology specialists. These specialists operate fixed and portable radiology equipment, and supervise radiology activities. They use imaging equipment like X-rays, CT scans, MRI tests, and ultrasounds to assist with medical diagnosis.
The Army trains radiology specialists to: Interpret requests for X-rays Prepare patients Take digital X-ray images of specific bones and body organs Operate state-of-the-art digital X-ray imaging systems Manipulate, enhance, and archive digital images on large computer networks Control the amount of radiation using mathematics MOS 68P personnel should have: Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity No aversion to the sight of blood The ability to stand for long periods of time
After initial entry training, MOS 68P personnel are assigned to either a fixed facility or a field unit.
