70H Health Services Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Security & Training
MOS 70H, Health Service Plans, Security, & Training, is a commissioned officer Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in the United States Army. 70Hs are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of health service support for Army units in garrison and in the field. They serve as the principal advisor to commanders at all levels on health service matters, and they are responsible for ensuring that Soldiers have access to the highest quality medical care possible.
70Hs perform a wide range of duties, including:
Developing and maintaining health service plans for all types of operations, from routine training exercises to major combat deployments. Coordinating the movement of patients and medical supplies between different levels of care. Overseeing the training of medical personnel and the maintenance of medical equipment. Ensuring that medical units comply with all applicable regulations and standards. Advising commanders on the health, welfare, and morale of their troops. 70Hs play a vital role in the Army’s mission to protect the health and well-being of its Soldiers. They are highly trained and experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible medical care to their fellow Soldiers.
70Hs are typically assigned to medical units at all levels of command, from the battalion level up to the theater level. They may also be assigned to non-medical units, such as infantry divisions or cavalry regiments, where they serve as the unit’s health service advisor.
To become a 70H, Soldiers must complete a four-year degree in a health-related field, such as nursing, public health, or health administration. They must also complete the Officer Basic Course (OBC) and the Medical Officer Basic Leadership Course (MOLBC).
70Hs are highly respected members of the Army Medical Department. They play a critical role in ensuring that Soldiers have access to the highest quality medical care possible.
