72D Environmental Science and Engineering

The Army MOS 72D is an Environmental Science and Engineering Officer. These officers are responsible for the health and safety of military troops and their families stationed on an Army base. They perform scientific work in environmental health, industrial hygiene, and environmental sanitary engineering.

The 72D officers: Supervise scientific research for environmental health and industrial hygiene Assess weapons, equipment, clothing, and material systems Develop policies, programs, and operations to ensure the health and safety of Soldiers and staff Serve as consultants for environmental sciences

The 72D officers can be active or reserve, and can be officers or enlisted. The maximum age for applicants is 42.
