73 Behavioral Sciences

The Medical Service Corps provides technical and scientific medical support for the Army. The Medical Functional Area (MFA) 73 is Behavioral Health Sciences. The job description includes planning for the Army Master of Social Work Program or Department of Behavioral Health Sciences.

The Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is used for enlisted soldiers and warrant officers. The Area of Concentration (AOC) is used for commissioned officers. The MOS/AOC can change over time as soldiers gain new competencies and are promoted.

The Behavioral Sciences MOS includes: 73A Social Worker 73B Clinical Psychologist

The Medical Functional Area (MFA) 73 also includes 67Ds, which are part of Behavioral Health Science.
