73B Clinical Psychology

The Army MOS 73B is a clinical psychologist who provides behavioral healthcare. They work in TOE/MTOE and TDA organizations, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Army psychologists must have a four year degree in psychology, a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, and a valid license to practice. They also need to complete the DoD Biomedical Equipment Course.

Army psychologists have access to sophisticated technologies, methods, and techniques. They can consult with experts in both the military and private sector. They also have professional growth opportunities, including continuing education courses and seminars.

Army psychologists can be assigned to a special forces command or go through special forces training. They can earn up to $20,000 per year in special pay.
