79T Recruiting and Retention NCO (Army National Guard of the United States)

The Army MOS 79T is a Recruiting and Retention NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) in the Army National Guard. These soldiers recruit and retain qualified soldiers for the Army National Guard. They also supervise recruiting and retention activities.

Duties of a 79T include: Prospecting and refining leads Determining whether a potential recruit is eligible for enlistment Providing technical guidance to lower grade soldiers Counseling applicants on enlistment programs and options Preparing enlistment applications Training future soldiers for initial entry training To be eligible for selection as a recruiter, you must: Be at least 21 years old, but not more than 39 years old Have a minimum GT score of 90 with a Skilled Technical (ST) of 90 Be a sergeant (SGT), staff sergeant (SSG), or sergeant first class (SFC)

You must also successfully complete the appropriate MOS 79R course at the Recruiting and Retention School.
