882A Mobility Officer
The Army MOS 882A is a Mobility Officer. They are responsible for planning and conducting training for unit movement operations. They also supervise the use of transportation systems to document Army deployment, redeployment, and distribution operations.
The Mobility Officer’s duties include: Advising commanders on deployment processes Planning and coordinating troop and equipment deployments Identifying and solving deployment problems Creating and providing training related to unit movement operations Assisting commanders in planning and conducting unit movement operations and operational maneuver
The Mobility Officer also serves as a technical advisor to higher echelons of command and allied armies on transportation matters. They also coordinate deployment and distribution actions with multinational, Joint, Army, and commercial agencies through the Joint Logistics Enterprise.
