89A Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist

The Army MOS 89A is the Military Occupational Specialty for Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialists. These specialists are responsible for accounting for all of the Army’s ammunition. They use the Standard Ammunition and Accounting System (SAAS) software and hardware, as well as manual records, to perform stock control and accounting procedures.

The skills learned as an Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist can also be applied to civilian careers in government agencies and private industries. These careers involve ordnance research and development.
