91L Construction Equipment Repairer
The Army MOS 91L is a military occupational specialty for construction equipment repairers. They supervise and perform maintenance on construction equipment, including: Earth moving, Grading, Compaction, Lifting, Loading, Quarrying, Rock crushing, Asphalt and concrete mixing, Surfacing, Water pumping, Air compression equipment.
The Army trains 91Ls in basic and intermediate maintenance of equipment in the field or the maintenance shop. They learn skills such as: Maintenance and repairs Engine hydraulics and braking systems Hand and power tools
After completing the 91L course, soldiers can be stationed with different units at installations across the world. Some say it’s one of the best MOSs in the Army.
91Ls work on various construction equipment, including: Bulldozers, Graders, Scrapers, Rollers.
91Ls can maintain and replace: Brake actuators Batteries Starter motors Alternators Mechanical fuel pumps Hydraulic cylinders Drive shafts Universal joints Service brake shoes Disc brake pads Water pumps Turbochargers
