92G Culinary Specialist
The Army MOS 92G is a Culinary Specialist. They are responsible for food preparation, storage, cooking, baking, and ordering. They also supervise, prepare, and serve food in the field or garrison.
Some of the duties of a Culinary Specialist include: Setting up serving lines Garnishing food items Ensuring food protection and sanitation measures are followed Receiving and storing food items from suppliers Performing general housekeeping duties
The Army 92G MOS course is eight weeks and two days long. During the course, you will receive training in baking, small and large garrison food service, and the Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT) or containerized kitchen (CK).
The skills you learn as a Food Service Specialist can help prepare you for a future with civilian cafes, restaurants, cafeterias, hotels, hospitals, manufacturing plants, schools, and other organizations that have their own dining facilities.
