92R Parachute Rigger

The Army MOS 92R is the military occupational specialty for parachute riggers. Parachute riggers are responsible for packing and repairing cargo and personnel parachutes. They also rig equipment and supply containers for airdrop. Parachute riggers may also repair textile and canvas items, webbed equipment, and clothing.

Parachute riggers frequently make parachute jumps. They may be required to jump with any parachute they have packed.
