948D Electronic Missile Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer

The Army MOS 948D is the Electronic Missile Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer. These officers are responsible for the operation of maintenance support teams and field level maintenance facilities. They also supervise the maintenance and repair of job organic tools, test sets, and associated training equipment.

The 948D MOS applies digital switching theory, logic, computer fundamentals, and infrared fundamentals to the Army’s missile systems and associated equipment. They also apply the theory and fundamentals of solid-state devices and optics to direct test procedures, diagnostic system analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.

The 948D MOS implements proper crime prevention, security, and safety procedures. They ensure that the military always has the firepower needed on the battlefield.

There are more than 40 different Warrant Officer specialties. These include ground forces, cyber and intelligence, engineering, aviation, and aerial defense.
