Looking for a free tablet in Puerto Rico? Start by separating the device from its internet service. SNAP, Medicaid, and federal Lifeline do not establish a general entitlement to a free tablet. SNAP food benefits cannot pay for a tablet or other electronics. A seller must identify its own device offer, price, and eligibility conditions. This directory points to benefit offices and service assistance; the offices below are not advertised as tablet suppliers.

Applying for affordable service in Puerto Rico

For federal Lifeline, start with USAC’s application instructions or ask a participating provider to help. Then use Companies Near Me with your ZIP code and confirm service at your actual address. A search listing does not confirm tablet stock.

Puerto Rico uses PAN, rather than SNAP, for its nutrition-assistance program. USAC explicitly accepts participation in Puerto Rico’s Nutrition Assistance Program as a Lifeline qualifying route. See USAC’s eligibility rules for the complete list and required evidence.

Lifeline reduces an eligible household’s monthly service cost. Hardware, shipping, data allowances, and any remaining bill depend on the provider’s written terms. Do not move an existing Lifeline benefit solely because an advertisement pictures a tablet.

If you need a device rather than a service discount

Ask your local library, school or college, or caseworker whether a current loan or refurbished-device program serves your address. Ask whether you keep the device or must return it, whether it includes internet access, and whether there is a waiting list. Availability must be confirmed locally; this page does not verify an open tablet distribution in Puerto Rico.

For a provider offer, get the exact model, condition, total upfront charge, ongoing bill, return policy, and delivery terms before submitting an order. A benefits office can verify your benefit status, but cannot promise a private seller’s inventory.

Older advertisements may refer to ACP device subsidies. ACP ended June 1, 2024. For the difference between that expired program, current service assistance, and device offers, read Free Tablet With EBT in 2026: What Benefits Actually Cover.
