Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) ended in 2023. There is no current P-EBT application or annual P-EBT deposit schedule. Old pages that advertise new pandemic payments can send you to the wrong program. Washington DSHS explains the closure and the separate SUN Bucks program.

If you still have a P-EBT card

A physical card does not establish that money remains available. Start with the issuing state’s benefits agency or the customer-service number printed on the card. Ask which benefit account the card accesses, whether it has a spendable balance, and whether the agency has reused that card for another program.

Do not assume that a replacement card restores expired benefits. Card replacement and benefit eligibility are separate questions. Keep the original notice, if available, so staff can identify the child, program and payment period.

If a website promises a new P-EBT payment

Check the publication date and the year covered by the payment. An article describing 2021 school closures is historical guidance even if a website has given it a recent update date.

Confirm any claimed payment through the administering agency before entering personal information. You do not need to give an unofficial article website your EBT PIN to learn about a benefit.
