Use the official Museums for All directory to find participating museums near you, then check the museum’s own admission page before traveling. Participation does not mean every ticket or special exhibition is free.

What the national program offers

Museums for All’s visitor guidance currently lists admission of $5 or less per person for up to four people per SNAP EBT card. Bring the card and photo identification. Pay any admission fee using another payment method; SNAP benefits do not pay for the museum visit.

The national program guarantees recognition of SNAP EBT cards at participating institutions. WIC and other forms of eligibility are accepted by some museums under their own policies, but are not guaranteed by the national guidelines. Do not assume an old P-EBT card qualifies.

Find the exact museum and ticket

Start at the Museums for All website and open its museum directory. Once you have a destination, use its own website or box-office number to confirm:

  • The current admission price and number of people covered.
  • Which card or document you must show.
  • Whether advance reservations are required.
  • Whether special exhibitions, parking or additional experiences cost extra.

An aquarium photograph or a museum’s name in an older article is not proof of a current offer. The previous version of this page listed specific attractions without adequate current admission sources; those unverified prices have been removed.

Plan the visit around the full cost

Write down the quoted admission price, transport cost and any optional extras before booking. If an online checkout does not display the reduced rate, contact the box office before paying full price and expecting a refund.

For a museum outside the directory, ask about its own access program. Give staff the name of the benefit card you have and confirm the required documents; do not assume every low-income admission program uses the same rules.
