There is no new New York P-EBT payment schedule. Pandemic EBT ended in 2023. For current summer grocery assistance, check Summer EBT, a separate program, and the benefit year shown on your child’s notice.

New York’s 2026 Summer EBT status

ACCESS NYC’s Summer EBT guidance lists a one-time $120 benefit per eligible child for 2026. Issuance began June 16, 2026, and the agency says payments continue through the end of the year. That is a distribution period, not a promise of a particular household’s payment date.

The New York application portal says the 2026 application deadline was September 8, 2026. Applications submitted after that date are reviewed for 2027. Many eligible children are identified automatically; use the portal’s eligibility tool or contact the program to establish your child’s status.

Check the right card

New York tells families to keep and reuse the child’s Summer EBT card in later years. Do not wait for a new card simply because the calendar year changed. Check the notice to confirm which card holds the payment.

Benefits expire 122 days after issuance, so a late-arriving physical card does not restart the clock. Ask for the specific expiration date if you cannot locate it.

Use OTDA’s card-replacement instructions to choose the appropriate route. A replacement card provides access to an eligible account; it does not restore expired benefits.

If you need food assistance beyond the summer benefit, our NYC SNAP application guide explains the separate application. A SNAP deposit schedule is not a Summer EBT or P-EBT schedule.
