These operations are crucial in supporting the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) during deployments and operations.

Their training encompasses key doctrinal principles related to landing support and the landing force support party. This includes overseeing activities such as port operations, arrival/departure airfield operations, helicopter landing zone operations, and railhead operations.

Their specific responsibilities encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  1. Conducting Helicopter Support Team (HST) Operations.
  2. Managing Rail Operations.
  3. Overseeing Port Operations.
  4. Facilitating Beach Operations.
  5. Coordinating Arrival Airfield Control Group/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) Operations.

They are also responsible for certifying hazardous materials for shipment, preparing reports, generating load plans using approved air load plan automated systems, and developing amphibious ship load plans. Additionally, they play a pivotal role in directing landing zone support operations, sea-port operations, and coordinating requests for Combat Service Support (CSS).
